The next set of vows in this series is from a wedding in April 2017. If you want to know more about this series, check out previous entries here!

A reminder: these vows are published to inspire you and provide you with some ideas for writing your vows; they’re not here so you can copy them word for word! Please also remember these don’t include the legally required vows – those words generally go at the start of these ones.

Groom

Nine years ago we met and since that day you have always been on my mind. You are my rock and my soulmate. I love you with every millimetre of my body.

Meeting you again and having your daughter accept me has been the best thing to happen to me. I will be proud to call you my wife and the mother of my children. I want to see us together as that old married couple that plays video games and has fun together.

I believe that communication is key and with you I don’t have that problem or have to hide who I am. The way you love me, not only as your partner but also as our child’s father, has been and always will be the rainbow at the end of every day. I love you, forever and always.

Bride

My King. Thank you for teaching me to love myself, though not as much as you love YOURself. You are my tall, dark and extremely handsome man, and you still give me butterflies when we kiss.

I love that you always try and make me smile with your terrible jokes and your brand of weirdness that completely matches my own. You make me feel safe and loved, and you have become a wonderful father to my daughter, for which I’ll be forever grateful.

I promise to support you through all life’s endeavours, through the good times as well as the tough times. I promise to be more honest with you and promise to always listen when you do the same. I truly believe we were put on this earth to be together, and I seem to fall in love with you more and more as time goes on.

My soulmate. I love you. Your Queen. Barbecue sauce
