The next set of vows in this series is from a wedding in July 2017. If you want to know more about this series, check out previous entries here!

A reminder: these vows are published to inspire you and provide you with some ideas for writing your vows; they’re not here so you can copy them word for word! Please also remember these don’t include the legally required vows – those words generally go at the start of these ones.

We have been together now for four and a half years, and known each other for almost five. You have made these years the greatest of my life. We have laughed together, and cried together. Through all of these times we have always had each other.

You are my everything; the first person I see when I wake, the last person I speak to before I sleep, and I think about you every moment in between. You inspire me, push me and help me be the man I am today. I know I can push your buttons or frustrate you, but I will always do whatever I can to make it up to you. I am the luckiest man alive because I am with you. You are beautiful, caring, funny, and your passion inspires me to be the best possible person I can be.

Today in front of our friends and family I swear: to care for and look after you, through thick and thin, sickness and health, and everything in between; to use my cute voices and continue my drawings and cards; to maybe make more decisions and do everything I can to make you smile; to be there through your successes, and to comfort and console you in sadness; I know that you are not a fan of my driving, but I will do my best to be a better driver; to give you my everything and be the best husband that I can be.

Today is the celebration of the journey we will be continuing together as now husband and wife. I love you.

You are my best friend, my right hand man, playmate and (if I ever need one) potential kidney donor. Why do you think I keep massaging your lower back?

You make me happier than I could ever imagine, and more loved than I ever thought possible. You know me inside and out, go through my ups and my downs, and somehow you still manage to love me.

I can’t promise you I’ll agree with every decision you make or that my limited patience will not explode from time to time. But I promise to always communicate fully and fearlessly, protect you and love you, until I receive my kidney.
