Grown up together wedding vows
Here’s the next set of awesome wedding vows in my series of amazing (de-identified) vows from one of my beautiful couples!
Some of my couples have written such incredible words of love and promise, and I thought they’d act as great inspiration for other couples who have no idea where to start when writing their own vows. While I provide all my couples with a vow pack that contains questions to get you started and loads of individual sentences that can be put together to create vows (and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that), the vows in this series all include the kind of personal touches that I think make wedding vows beautiful and genuine. To me, the most successful vows are personal, from the heart, and written in language the speaker would use in their everyday life.
Also remember: the word vow means promise. While we all love hearing all the reasons you love your partner, your vows are your chance to tell your partner all the things you are promising them for your lives together into the future. Don’t forget the promises!

Party 1
12 years ago today I said yes when you asked me to be your girlfriend at the bus stop, now today I’m saying yes to becoming your wife surrounded by our closest friends and family, and most importantly our children.
We have grown up together, went to school together, worked together, bought a house together, and I can honestly say that I couldn’t picture doing it with anyone else. I can only imagine how much more we will achieve in the years to come. Committing my life to you is actually pretty easy. You’re just going to have to fully accept the fact that your shirts are indeed mine now too.
Besides this day, I have three other favourites. Thank you for giving me the best gift of all, our children. And thank you for being the best father I could have ever imagined you to be. Thank you for always showing me and the children so much kindness and love. There’s not a day goes by where you don’t tell me you love me.
You provide so much for our family, and I will always be so grateful. You work so hard every day for us and never expect anything in return. Even if you come home late from work and I’m still in the same spot where you left me.
No matter what life throws at us, we’re going to make great memories. But there’s always going to be bad days, sad days and days that test us the most. And these are the days that I want you to feel the absolute weight of my love for you.
I promise to love you more during the storms than the perfect days.
I promise to love you more when you’re hurting than when you’re happy.
I promise to love you more when we’re poor than when we’re swimming in riches.
I promise to love you more when you’re sick than when you’re healthy.
I promise to love you more when you hate me than when you love me.
And I promise to always love you more, because I do.

From the very first moment I saw you, I just had this feeling we were gonna be forever. Your kindness and generosity never cease to amaze me. You are the first to lend a hand, no matter the circumstances you face yourself. This selflessness is only one of the countless reasons our children are incredibly fortunate to have you as their mother. Loyal, nurturing, and selfless – these words barely scratch the surface of who you are.
To me, marriage isn’t just a step; it’s the continuation of the forever we began when our paths first crossed many years ago. I couldn’t imagine a future without you as my wife, my partner, and my best friend. With you, I find courage where there could be fear. You have shown me that I can face anything without the fear of dismissal or failure. You’ve transformed me from a goofy 17-year-old into a dedicated, hard-working dad, and for that, I am endlessly grateful.
I promise to stand by your side through every challenge and triumph. I vow to support your dreams as fiercely as you have supported mine as together we will create a life filled with laughter, adventure, and love.
